About Michele Young

For the past 8 years, Michele has extended her work to supporting, empowering, and advocating for families, drawing on both her professional expertise and her personal commitment to helping children access the services and support they need. But her passion for advocacy began long before her professional career—it began in childhood.

Michele grew up in a small town in New Jersey, alongside two siblings with unique educational and support needs. At just nine years old, while attending her younger brother’s speech therapy sessions, she knew she had found her calling. Years later, while pursuing her undergraduate degree in speech pathology, Michele would travel home to attend her sister’s IEP meetings and stand alongside her parents as they advocated for her educational needs.

Watching her mother tirelessly research case law—long before the convenience of today’s technology—and advocate for the services and opportunities her children deserved left a lasting impression on Michele. Those early experiences shaped not only her career path, but also her belief that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools a family can have.

Today, Michele is also a mother of three. Her experiences as both a parent and a professional have given her a deep appreciation for the many joys, challenges, and decisions families navigate while advocating for their children. She brings that perspective to her work with families, creating a space where parents feel heard, supported, and empowered to advocate for what is right for their children.
